ESL using technology

I conscious about, the huge importance of ESL in second language teaching and learning. New technologies are a great tool to use as a complement in learning-teaching process. ESL is very rich information holder, organized and easy to use. Teachers and children must improve their skills to use new technologies correctly and in a critical point of view.  Actually, and more in a future, Internet will be as common as T.V. was before.

ESL is a good tool to motivate children is full of images, videos, games, music, information, presentations, activities etc. Also give us the opportunity to interact with people from everywhere, in the act! Writing or speaking with a webcam. Is incredible the millions of chances are, is deep on ESL materials; many different activities, contents, examples, didactic games as we can imagine. Is a nonstop surprise! You can find listening realized by native speakers, Hot Potato, Power Points and pedagogical-didactic games. All competences are rich material to use in the class and at home.

Is really interesting the ways to share information and projects between teachers and other professionals and contribute to collect a selection of contents for English language teaching. Collaborate with colleges to learn the right use, to be critical and responsible.  

Of Corse we need to be careful with wrong and offensive webs around internet exist, that’s the reason to protect children of. Unfortunately internet could be dangerous if we don´t control the entries of students to evaluate the right use.  We must make sure a responsible use. Teachers can provide students with addresses of web, blogs, search engines, to surfing on web in a save way. And also filter content by specific software.

Furthermore we need attend to find good didactic material in the web; reliable, currency and functionality. Sometimes addresses disappear or give errors so we need to check them usually.
